From the largest private contributors to the CDR
The team behind 30+ live CDR implementations built openfeed, turning the infrastructure that runs Australia's Consumer Data Right into a product anyone can use.
openfeed is a product of Biza.io. Where others wrote about the CDR, we shipped it: the unglamorous plumbing that makes Australia’s Consumer Data Right actually work, in production, for real banks and energy retailers.
We brought 30+ banks and energy retailers into the CDR. Before the ecosystem even launched, we had built a private testing platform, one that evolved into our Data Recipient solution Open Gateway. Two decades of combined CDR experience is the engine behind openfeed.
We took that infrastructure and made it simple: consumers connect once and share with any app in a tap, agreeing to transition their data to the Privacy Act. Developers get a single API across every holder, and every data flow runs under agreement the consumer controls.

All-in on the CDR
We went all-in on Australia’s Consumer Data Right, building data-holder software from scratch. Working software in production, not slideware.

CDR launches
The Consumer Data Right goes live in banking. Australia’s four major banks begin sharing consumer data.

We brought Regional Australia Bank live, the first non-Big-4 data holder in the country.

Scaling holders and Standards leadership
10+ more data-holder implementations as we scaled, plus active Data Standards and Advisory Committee leadership shaping how the CDR works.

$7.5M Series A
We closed a $7.5 million Series A led by OIF Ventures and Jelix Ventures, the first external capital raised since founding. Previously bootstrapped from day one.

Energy sector goes live
Product data sharing commences in energy on 1 October 2022, with consumer data sharing following on 15 November 2022 for initial retailers including AGL, Origin Energy and EnergyAustralia.

Non-bank lenders designated
On 21 November 2022 the non-bank lenders sector is designated under the CDR. Rules binding initial providers take effect March 2025, with product data sharing obligations from July 2026.

We brought more than 60% of the energy sector online in rapid succession, including AGL and Origin Energy.

We authored native extensions to the Consumer Data Right, leading to the drafting of the Grant Management specification.

We became an Accredited Data Recipient with Biza VTT, our first data-recipient product, and launched our first CDR Representative with Automised Energy.
